Kuala Terengganu China Town
Madam Bee's Kitchen- located in China Town.
It is one of the recommended restaurant by tourist.
For me, the foods are not very good. But you can find variety of local foods there.
Not bad to have a try.
1. Rojak Ceranang
2. Laksa Terengganu
3. Terengganu Loh Mee
4. Nasi Lemak MBK
The specialty of the rojak is that steam fish cracker mix with taugeh, cucumber, sengkuang and long bean. The gravy is just normal rojak gravy but a bit sour. However, quite disappointed with the steam fish cracker because it is not fresh and contain much of flour.
Laksa Terengganu is quite good. The laksa is the commersial laksa noodle. It is different from other state's laksa because the gravy is made up of fish in cononut milk.
Terengganu Loh Mee is also quite good. The gravy is not as dark as Loh Mee in other states.
The nasi lemak is different in term of the curry chicken instead of fried chicken. But disappointed as the sambal is not delicious.
Well, there are a lot of other delicacies in Madam Bee's Kitchen: nasi kerabu, peranakan nasi kunyit, mee hoon Siam, mee Jawa, bubur lambuk, pulut leper, etc... May be it would be your favorite, so you may give it a try.
Turtle Alley - also located in China Town.
It is actually a narrow alley between two houses.
It has introduce different species of turtle.
Payang Memory Lane- located in China Town.
Its another narrow alley there.
Pasar Payang- located at the end of China Town.
Here, we can see turtle eggs are illegally sold in almost every stall in wet market.
How pitiful is the turtle egg. This is why turtle is going to extinct.
Anyway, this is my first time to see the real turtle egg. It is really look alike as ping pong ball.
The bus is city bus. It special design can only be seen in Terengganu.
This is somewhere behind the China Town. It is known as Pulau warisan Kuala Terengganu.
I wonder why it was named as "pulau".
Its like I-City, attracts tourist with the colorful trees.
The trees will be all light on at 7.30pm.
Istana Maziah and the fort - located near China Town
The palace is not allowed to enter. So, we can only have a look at outside.
The fort is on Bukit Puteri, just beside the palace.
The fort is where cannon located, used by England when they colonized Terengganu in the past.
From here, they can observed the sea and alert them with the entry of Japan.
Muzeum Negeri
The entry fee is RM5 for adult.
However, it worth because the muzeum is very large and there are a lot of things to see.
The muzeum is divided into block A, B, C and D.
It take around 1 hour to visit the whole muzeum by just walk through.
If you want to visit thoroughly, it may take longer time.
The model of houses are located outside the muzeum.
You may take the so called "train" or "kereta api" on the road to visit so that you do not need to walk under the sun. The "kereta api" is RM2 per trip per person.
